Hi! I’m Stacey.
Occupational therapist, lymphoedema therapist, quality enthusiast, Mum, and powered by double espressos!
In 2023, my husband and I moved our family from Sydney to Rockhampton to slow down our lifestyle and spend more time with our kids. It quickly became evident that I was not ready for early retirement and I was itching to get back into the world of oedema and wounds! I commenced studying for my Masters of Wound Care and decided to take the leap and start my own business.
Lymphoedema is an area I have long been passionate about. I love working with patients almost as much as I love talking to therapists ABOUT working with patients! I have 16 years of experience treating all presentations of lymphoedema, lipoedema, and chronic wounds with my trusted Wound CNC and High-Risk Foot Podiatrists by my side. I have worked in a public outpatient clinic for most of my career, with brief secondments to the NSW Ministry of Health, and South Western Sydney Local Health District Clinical Governance Unit.
Why use a mentor?
The lymphoedema community is very active, engaged, and generous with their time. There are a number of platforms where you can post a question and receive responses from all over Australia and New Zealand. With that in mind, you may be wondering why you would need to pay for clinical support and mentoring. For quick questions, the current platforms may be perfect for your needs. If you have something more complex that you want to work through, an asynchronous discussion may not be the most effective use of your time. When your time is valuable to you and the people you treat, it can be more efficient to pick up the phone and have a discussion in real-time.
By engaging a mentor who is passionate about, and experienced in your area of clinical practice, you can work towards specific goals that will help you to feel more confident and competent in your skills and will lead to better outcomes for the people you treat. Working with someone you trust, means that you can ask the questions you may not feel comfortable asking in a public forum.
I have a lot of energy and creativity when it comes to solving problems - the more complex the better! I am excited to share that with you! Let me help you find creative solutions and efficiencies to take your skills and your practice to the next level.
A bit more about me!
I am a first time dog mum! I have always been a cat person, but when we moved, we bought a labradoodle for my daughter and son. Meet Pumpkin!
My mission is to improve outcomes for patients living with lymphoedema, lipoedema, and chronic wounds, by supporting the health professionals working with them to provide creative, up-to-date, and evidence-based interventions
